just a few things I’ve been up to lately……
My delicious breakfast in bed made by my sweetheart. It was so awesome and I ate it in bed while watching the last 2 episodes of The Affair. So perfect. Then I proceeded to get all dressed up in red leather pants and black high heeled booties and I cooked and baked and drank wine the rest of the afternoon and evening. We ate our Valentine’s meal which was steak and butternut squash gnocchi (homemade of course) while watching a few episodes of Homeland and then we stuffed our faces with all the pie and ice cream while we watched The Walking Dead. It was a pretty cool Valentine’s Day.
The pies I made for Valentine’s day which I shared here are almost gone. Both of them have barely a piece left. Gone in 2 days. True story. And the redberry cherry chocolate cream cheese pie was soooo freaking good after it sat overnight in the refrigerator. For those of you who don’t like cream cheese stuff, this pie doesn’t overwhelm with the taste of it because it’s mixed with sugar and whipped topping so it’s a very mild cream cheese taste.
Ok let’s talk Walking Dead. Such a crazy good episode. Don’t you agree? And can I just say- Daryl with a bow and arrow was sexy enough but Daryl with an RPG… OMG. I was totally holding my breath too thinking the bad guys were gonna kill Abraham or Sasha and take Daryl to the infamous bad guy Neegan and then BOOM! Daryl saved the day. And poor Carl lost an eye. And poor Rick saw his new love interest die. And oh wow! what an episode.
