so it all started with going to see the movie Trainwreck and having some cocktails before hand. I had a summer shandy. Well actually I had 2. Then the next day after work I decided to try a little concoction of blueberries, lemonade, and beer. A blueberry shandy, right? Next I made my pink lemonade sangria(recipe coming soon). so I had a glass of it then decided to come full circle and have a glass of blueberry wine. do you follw me? or am I drunk? or are you helping me find some antacids? Lets review. lemonade+blueberries+beer= lemonade +fruit+wine= blueberries+wine. Yes!? ok so I never did very well at math in school but somehow it all made sense and it all tasted very good.
Let’s talk about this blueberry shandy. It’s too simple for a recipe.
A shandy is lager beer and lemonade. I actually didn’t have any lager beer on hand I only had “light” beer. Because well you know…my diet blah blah blah. So I simply muddled some blueberries in a glass with lemonade.
Then I poured in the beer. Voila! Very tasty especially on a hot summer night.
Waaayyy to easy. I probably could try this with blueberry beer and just add lemonade. I’m more of a sissy when it comes to beer. Light beer and fruity beer and my all time favorite pumpkin beer. Which is coming soon but I’m not wishing away my summer just to have it. I actually still found pumpkin beer this past april. And I always stock up on it every fall. My favorite fruity beer is blueberry. A local brewery/restaurant around here brews there own and it is just soooo good. I can’t even mention blueberry beer around my bestest friend’s husband though. They went on a trip to Maine and well, Maine=blueberries=lots of blueberry beer=1 drunk sick husband. See I’m not the only one bad at math!
