just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
I’m a pie whore. After going blah, blah, blah all month long about not baking 100+ pies, I went ahead and made 20. Maybe that makes me a pie pimp instead. The bottom left pie is the no pecan- pecan pie I talked about yesterday. The top right pie is a chocolate pudding pie with plastic wrap on top to prevent that weird skin from forming on top. There’s also apple, pumpkin, redberry cherry, blackberry, and a baby peach pie. That’s all mine because my peach (and my mom’s) is my favorite. Am I making you hungry for delicious homemade award winning pie yet???? Pie whore.
Then I also went ahead and made 40 pumpkin rolls with cream cheese filling. I made these at my parents house because of the whole kitty cats issue. I hate making pumpkin rolls. I always forget that. They are easy to make but insanely time consuming and messy. Oh the powdered sugar. I had to promise my mom I would scrub her kitchen floors when I was done baking there. Many years ago when I first made pumpkin rolls I was still living at home. I had powdered sugar everywhere. I mean in the freezer, in the refrigerator, all over the floors and cabinets. I scarred her for life. For real. Poor woman.
TV talk- The Walking Dead. Glenn is alive!!! And the mid season finale is this week. WAH! I don’t wanna wait. We are having a Harry Potter movie marathon tomorrow on thanksgiving. Stuff our faces all day long and watch Harry Potter because I never watched them before. I actually wanted to read the books first but I’m going to just watch the movies instead. I have like 50 books my mom gave me to read.
