I know, I know. It’s the most basic of cocktails. Doesn’t even require a recipe. Take some apple cider and heat it up and add some bourbon. Get your fuzzy blanket, candle, fireplace, good book/movie, etc… sip and enjoy. Mulled apple cider works just as well. It just screams the holiday season. Oh, and don’t forget to add your apple slices and cinnamon sticks because that just screams coolness and sophistication which is what we all are right? Cool and sophisticated.
The weather yesterday was like 65 degrees. We went for a walk at the lake and saw turtles and ducks swimming. I don’t know why I thought it was funny to see a turtle swimming in the lake. I only ever saw them sunning themselves on the rocks. Ok, call me weird. But today the cold front moves in and all I want to do is make this cocktail and do nothing. It’s like a good pregame before the crazy holiday week coming up and the equally if not more crazier month that follows. So instead of prepping for the pregame, I want to do nothing. Makes sense. I’m the queen of procrastination after all.
