chocolate cherry cheesecake protein smoothie

I have the perfect Valentine’s treat for you and your swolemate!

I’m totally obsessed with these “cheesecake” smoothies. After I made the blueberry one, I kept thinking of all these different kinds I could make. I’m thinking strawberry may be next…or maybe blackberry…

One of the reasons I’m so obsessed with these smoothies is that they are not made with protein powder. Not that I’m opposed to protein powder, but sometimes I just don’t want it or get sick of it. Plus I know a few people who can’t drink it because it upsets their stomachs.

This smoothie is loaded with protein from plain greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Which is what helps give it that “cheesecake” flavor. If you’re still following your new years resolution to eat healthier, than this smoothie is like the perfect dessert.

Chocolate cherry cheesecake protein smoothie
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1 cup milk (I used original almond milk)
2 tsp cocoa
1 cup ice
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 1-2.
